H R Piper have taken delivery of a Quest Automation Q-Draft 12 comprising two digitizers and VDUs, a Controller I based on the Nova 3D/ 64k computer, GNT punch and reader, a teletype and a 36 in pen plotter. A Controller II has also been bought for use on existing equipment. The order also includes Emma 2 photoplotter and a Quad software package. At Piper, printed circuit designs are produced from coloured pencil sketches which are then digitized. Paper tapes are produced which are then used to drive the photoplotter.
