✦ Synopsis
We describe two consecutive mid-trimester fetuses of different sexes with identical anomalies of the upper limbs and the kidneys in association with severe ventriculomegaly. We compare this apparently autosomal recessive syndrome to VACTERL-H association, Fanconi anemia, and two other, so far unparalleled syndromes. Taking into account the absence of chromosome breaks, the associated changes of the amniotic fluid, and the renal histology, we conclude that we are dealing with a different entity. Am.

We describe 2 sibs, a male fetus with an unusual lumbar hernia and spina bifida occulta, and a female fetus with a median abdominoschisis. Here we present the analysis of deformations observed in a series of 26,810 consecutive infants with congenital defects. We observed that 3.88% of these infants had deformations, for a prevalence figure of 0.07% live-born infants. From the present study we can conclude that there are three different
Congenital heart defects (CHDs) are genetically heterogeneous, associated with a variety of genetic conditions. Familial aggregation of CHD in patients with and without Down syndrome is rare. We report on the occurrence of concordant CHD in three sets of sibs with discordant karyotypes. In the first
