✦ Synopsis

The book is well printed and the illustrations are very adequate, most of the drawings having been copied from articles in the paediatric surgical literature. This is by far the best book on a paediatric surgical subject which has been written in East Germany and it may be hoped that it will greatly contribute to a better understanding of this subject in that part of the world.
