✦ Synopsis

This is a condensed review of electronic processes in graphite which involve interaction of electrons with phonons. After some remarks concerning the mechanism of electron-phonon interaction, the electrical resistivity and carrier mobility are discussed. The more recently observed Esaki-kink and phonon-drag effects are then considered in more detail. Other recent results on electro-acoustic and magneto-acoustic effects, electron tunneling spectroscopy and superconductivity of graphite-potassium intercalation compounds are briefly described.
