✦ Synopsis

Order-level inventory models for deteriorating items have been developed and solved with and without shortages. The finite production rate is proportional to the demand rate which is time-dependent. The rate of deterioration also is taken to be time-variable. Illustrative numerical examples are given and significant features of the results are discussed.
