โฆ Synopsis
Abstraet--A thermodynamic analysis for the theoretical constant-temperature absorption-refrigeration cycle is used to investigate the effect of initial solution temperature on the performance of intermittent solar refrigerators using aqua ammonia solutions. For given condenser temperature and initial solution concentration, decreasing the initial solution temperature increases the effective cooling rate and decreases both the minimum evaporator temperature and the COP of the cycle. Thus lower initial temperatures are useful from the point of view of production of cold but at the expense of the value of the coefficient of performance of the cycle.
