. Variation of albedo of selected sagebrush range in the intermountain region. Agric. Meteorol., 9: 51~51.
The albedo of three range sites in southeastern Idaho were measured during June 1969 and found to be relatively uniform with respect to time and space. Albedo obtained from a low sagebrush site averaged 13.1 ~ and from a big sagebrush site 13.4 Y/o. On a site consisting of scattered large sagebrush and cheatgrass (the result of a range improvement program) albedo was not measured directly but was estimated to be 18 ~. Uniformity between the site albedos was due to the relatively small differences between the albedo of the individual soil and vegetation components. Potential impact of changes in albedo through manipulation of vegetation on the net radiation was small.
