โœฆ Synopsis

Dynamic sealing

to 60% versus conventional wide unbalanced faces; the patent-pending graphite holder provides uniform pressure for better face squareness, tighter tolerances and greater sealing reliability. This eliminates the usual metal holder whose interference fit can cause uneven, distorting thermal growth and premature seal failure.

A patent-pendh~_8 quench system flows steam around the entire circumference of the seal, between an inner and an outer sleeve, through multiple ports to the inner diameter of the faces before exiting. The continuous clean flow stabilizes face temperature and prevents build-up of crystallized or coke particles.
