✦ Synopsis
A variety of electrophysiological studies have been reported to increase the diagnostic sensitivity in the carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS), ',' including latency measurements to the second lumbrical (2~)3,4,12,18 and to the second dorsal interosseous (2DI). We attempted to determine the value of the interlatency difference (ILD) between these overlying small hand muscles after wrist stimulation of median and ulnar nerves, at equal distances to a single recording R esults were compared with other electrodiagnostic tests. A preliminary report has been p~b1ished.l~
