Synopsis
The vacuum CD spectra of poly(rGdC).poly(rGdC) and poly(dG-m 5dC).poly(dG-m5dC) have been obtained for the low-salt Zconformations of both polymers. The spectra are very similar to those for the high-salt Zforms. This behavior is consistent with the suggestion that the lowand high-salt Zforms are comprised of different proportions of ZI-and Z,,conformations.
