Idiopathic weal effusion syndrome (IUES) is a rare condition characterized by a spontaneous detachment of the choroid, often with a secondary non-rhegmatogenous retinal detachment, in healthy middle-aged men. It is hypothesized that the primary cause of the condition is a corngenital scleral anomaly
