Thomas More (1478-1535): Yargıçlığı boyunca dürüstlüğü ve haktanırlığıyla sivrilen ve Platon gibi bir anlamda bu yüzden ölüme mahkum edilen bir 16. yüzyıl yazarıdır. Günümüzden yaklaşık beşyüz yıl önce yayınlanan Utopia’da (1516) ise More, denebilirse, çizdiği “yeryüzü cenneti” ile bugün de kaynak gösterilen bir “toplumsal mutluluk” örneği sunmaktadır. Utopia, Hasan Âli Yücel Klasikler Dizisi’nde Mîna Urgan’ın yazarı ve yapıtı birlikte ele alan derinlikli incelemesiyle yayınlanmaktadır.

Sabahattin Eyüboğlu (1908-1973); Hasan Âli Yücel’in kurduğu Tercüme Bürosu’nun başkan yardımcısı ve Cumhuriyet döneminin en önemli kültür insanlarından biridir.
