Nuclear deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) ploidy was determined by flow cytometry for nine histologically benign giant cell tumors that developed systemic metastases and for eight tumors that did not metastasize. Specimens from the primary tumor, local recurrences, and pulmonary metastases were evaluated.
