โœฆ Synopsis

The extension principle is one of the basic ideas in fuzzy set theory. In this paper Yager's family of t-norms is used within the formulation of this principle. A generalization for the resulting formulas of extended addition and multiplication to n fuzzy sets is given. Also a procedure to fix the parameter in Yager's t-norms using information given by the user of the underlying specific model, is presented. The paper ends with two applications using the described procedure.

In science and engineering, there are ''paradoxical'' cases in which we have some ลฝ arguments in favor of some statement A so the degree to which A is known to be true is ลฝ . . positive nonzero , and we have some arguments in favor of its negation !
