## Abstract The Met Office Global and Regional Ensemble Prediction System (MOGREPS) uses an online inflation factor calculation to calibrate the spread of the ensemble in space and time and counteract the tendency of the Ensemble Transform Kalman Filter (ETKF) to underestimate analysis uncertainty.
