Abstract

A novel method of computation of input impedance detected by a feed probe leads to a simple technique of designing a dual‐band dual‐polarized microstrip antenna using a shorting‐pin‐loaded circular patch. The computation of the radiation pattern displays a slant‐polarized antenna, in which the tilt angle follows the angular location of the shorting pin. Comparisons with simulated results show good agreement. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract In this paper, we propose a new dual‐band antenna for applications of the ISM band. The proposed antenna is designed to operate at 2.4 and 5.8 GHz. The lower‐frequency band (2.4 GHz) can be obtained by using the meandering technique, and the upper‐frequency band (5.8 GHz) for dual‐band
