โฆ Synopsis
Loe Angelea lsumnuzry I n TAYLOR (1985 a) a meaaure of location, akin to a generaheed mean WBB proposed, it's properties were studied for a particular family of skew diatributiom. The measure of location is essentially the retramformed mean after firat transforming the obeervations to an approximately symmetric acale. Here it's properties are investigated for more general skew distributions. I n particular, we study whether i t satiefiea the axiom for measurea of location given in BICKEL and LEEMANN (1975). We show that it is estimating approximately the distribution median and through ~imulationa we show that it ia more efficient than the sample median.

## Abstract Andragogy has emerged as one of the dominant frameworks for teaching adults during the past 40 years. A major and glaring gap in andragogy research is the lack of a measurement instrument that adequately measures both andragogical principles and process design elements. As a result, no
This investigation assessed the construct validity of the PPVT-R as a measure of general achievement. The sample consisted of 208 children, aged 6-0 to 11-1 1, who were referred for evaluation. A principal-components factor analysis, followed by a VARIMAX rotation of 3-, 4-, and 5-factor solutions,
