Three separate laser modalities were investigated in the treatment of superficial varicosities/telangiectasias of the lower extremities. Sixteen patients were treated and followed for 12 months. The superpulse CO2, the pulsed focally specific CO2, and the Nd:YAG laser transmitted through a diffusing

โฆ Synopsis
Superficial telangiectasia of the lower extremity in 38 patients was treated with both argon and CO2 lasers. Results after five months revealed no change or worsening of the veins in 49% of the patients and good to excellent improvement or segmentation in 16% of the patients. The most common complication was brown hemosiderin bruising in almost half of the patients.

The carbon dioxide laser was used for the treatment of 20 lesions of the oral mucosa in 14 patients. These lesions ranged histologically from bengin hyperkeratosis to venucous carcinoma. The patients selected for this treatment were identified at high risk to develop malignant lesions in the oral ca
We have recently shown that free scapular fasciocutaneous flaps transferred to the lower extremities of patients with chronic venous insufficiency and cutaneous ulcers have resulted in improvement in venous refilling times measured by photoplethysmography in the flap areas and that recurrent ulcerat
## Abstract This is the first North American report describing the use of the holmium:YAG (Ho:YAG) laser to treat patients with superficial bladder carcinoma. Fifteen patients, with a total of 52 recurrent superficial bladder tumors, underwent endoscopic laser photoablation of their lesions. No int
