✦ Synopsis

Abstract

Various split‐screen approaches were used to produce video training tapes. These included A‐mode, B‐scan, and M‐mode ultrasonograms, patient‐transducer relationships and ultrasonic equipment settings. During the procedures, audio information was simultaneously recorded. The entire process was monitored in the central control area, which was easily accessible to the ultrasonic examination rooms. The use of this split‐screen audio‐video technique is recommended for those ultrasonic facilities interested in the training of physicians and technologists. The equipment is easy to operate with only minimal instruction and television engineers or producers are not required.
