✦ Synopsis
The preparation procedure and the use of plastic-tip capillaries for polarographic, electrocapillary and voltammetric measurements in HF solutions, as representatives of glass corroding media, is described. The concentration of HF varied between 0.2 mol L 71 and 20 mol L 71 . Good functioning of capillaries was documented by DC polarograms of Pb 2 , Zn 2 and Tl , voltammograms of Tl and the drop-time± potential measurements. Two diameters (0.23 and 0.13 mm) of the capillary ori®ce were used.
