✦ Synopsis
The use of high-resolution magic angle spinning NMR spectroscopy for in situ studies of low-molecularmass compounds in red algae has been studied. The impact of different acquisition parameters on the resulting T 2 -filtered one-dimensional high-resolution magic angle spinning 1 H NMR spectra is described. The technique was used for in situ identification and quantification of some low-molecular-mass algal metabolites.
