β¦ Synopsis
A literature review has been carried out on high intensity gas liquid mixers with regard to their mass transfer peIfOrmalXX5. The significance of using these mixing devices as reactors is described.
The mass transfer coeffiiient in this type of mixers can be two orders of magnitude higher than that in conventional stirred tanks. The review shows considerable discrepancies between correlations of different authors, which implies the need for further studies to achieve deeper understanding in this field.
