✦ Synopsis
The X-ray Fluorescence (XRF) beamline at the VEPP-3 (Budker Institute of Nuclear Physics, Novosibirsk, Russia) storage ring was modified for the performance of scanning analysis. Scanning Synchrotron Radiation X-ray Fluorescence (SR-XRF) analysis was used for studying of the base and trace elements distributions in cores of bottom sediments from Teletskoe Lake. The variations in elements concentration are correlated with climate parameters. A spatial resolution of the scanning analysis is 1 mm which corresponds to $1 years of time resolution. The time series for annual temperature and precipitation until 1200 AD were reconstructed.
