✦ Synopsis
method are highly repeatable. The correlation between the results obtained with the present TR-FIA method and the results obtained with GC-MS is satisfactory.
The short modification of the present method without extraction gives higher results compared to the other methods. However, they must be mathematically converted to values corresponding to the extraction method to give comparable results. The results obtained with this modification correlate very well with both the GC-MS method and the present TR-FIA method. This short modification could be used for screening purposes in very large materials, reducing the total costs. In addition, the sample volume needed for this short modification is very low. The analysis can be performed with only 20 l of serum, which is an extremely important aspect when analyzing very valuable blood bank samples.
