India: KMML -TiO 2 pigment

For the quarter ending 30 June 2002, Kerala Minerals & Metals Ltd (KMML) produced 7783 tonnes of ilmenite and 8101 tonnes of TiO 2 pigment. This compares against 2185 tonnes of ilmenite and 7708 tonnes of TiO 2 pigment in the equivalent period last year. KMML reported pigment production at 25,612 tonnes for the fiscal year (to end-March 2002), while sales reached 26,200 tonnes. Both figures represented new peaks, but KMML is anticipating further improvement this year: the sales target for 2002/03 is 30,000 tonnes.
