effectively be a satellite unit, installed at the Nam Phong paper mill of Phoenix Pulp & Paper Co (part of the Siam Cement group). This means that it will draw some of its raw material from the paper mill and all of the PCC output will be destined for filler-grade applications at the paper mill. The Nam Phong PCC plant is due to come on-stream during 2Q 2008.

According to a recent Goldman Sachs review of the company, MTI accounts for more than 80% of the world's supply of PCC, with 52 satellite units at paper mills in 16 different countries. Imerys and Omya account for most of the balance of global PCC supply.
