Abstract
Evidence is presented that previously reported values for urinary IgE were overestimations. This probably arose from nonspecific inhibition in the radioimmunoassay procedure. Gel filtration chromatography suggests that IgE occurs in normal urine as an intact molecule, but at a considerably lower concentration than previously thought.
