## Abstract In the South American lungfish, __Lepidosiren paradoxa__, injections of salmon calcitonin or bovine parathyroid extract have no effect on serum calcium levels. However, salmon calcitonin elicits a distinct diuresis. Crude or purified parathyroid extract or synthetic parathyroid hormone
