β¦ Synopsis
H c 2 of a d-wave superconductor with an anisotropic tight binding bandstructure is calculated for the magnetic field oriented along the a, band c-axis. The theoretical fit to the measured fields for the organic superconductor (TMTSFhC104 is satisfactory in the weak coupling limit for the band c-direction. For the field in a-direction pauli paramagnetic limiting and strong coupling corrections seem sufficient to explain the experimental data.

A microscopic theory describing the upper critical field in quasi-zero-dimensional superconductors is presented. The model is applicable to materials in which the superconducting electrons form clusters which are spatially separated from each other. It is argued that in quasi-zero-dimensional superc
