✦ Synopsis

Experience with the seeretin-pancreozymin test in 53 children aged 3 months to 16 years is reported. We used 29 children without confirmed pancreatic disease as a control group. The technique, interpretation and possible sources of error are described. In 78% a reflux was observed from the duodenum into the stomach. This volume was calculated approximately by a formula referring to the concentration of bilirubin in gastric and duodenal juice.
