✦ Synopsis
A novel polymer was synthesized by copolymerization of styrene monomer bearing dicyanoketene acetal functionality and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate, and used successfully as a recyclable ~-acid catalyst in monothioacetalization of aromatic, aliphatic, acyclic, and cyclic acetals with thiophenol and phenylthiotrimethylsilane.
