โœฆ Synopsis

We describe in a unified way universal operations for quantum systems with arbitrary finite dimension and show some links among them. In particular, we discuss a connection between optimal universal cloning and optimal state estimation. We then describe the operation of the depolarising quantum channel, its connection to quantum cloning and ways to contrast the undesired effects of its action.

Let \(H(\Omega)\) be the space of analytic functions on a complex region \(\Omega\), which is not the punctured plane. This paper presents an algorithm which determines the invertibility of any planar, triangular quadratic isoparametric finite element transformation. Extensions of the algorithm to three-dimensional isoparametric finite element transformations yield conditions which guarantee invertibility of 10-node
