โœฆ Synopsis

The Government Corporation Control Act 1945 was introduced by the United States Congress to cater for the situation and needs of government corporations as special types of organizations in government. For several years, its important provisions and related principles were adhered to, but since the early 1970s it has frequently been circumvented or ignored. It needs to be updated and applied as an eective means of ensuring that government corporations are held accountable for their work while, at the same time, having considerable operational freedom.
