In

this paper, we consider the scattering problem for a locally perturbed half-plane with L 2 boundary values, and we obtain a uniqueness result to the solution. Especially, we prove our result for the two-dimensional Dirichlet boundary value problem (in L2-sense) for the Helmholtz equation in a locally perturbed half-plane. (~) 2005 Elsevier Ltd.
