Absttact: Dimetbyl carbonimidodithioat (40-g, 7a-c) derived Erom various primary amines and amino acid esters exchanged zeolite RE(7046)Na Y to give th [glycine, (L)-alanine and (L)-pbenylalanine havebeen condensed with nitromethane in the presence of the rare-earth e S,N acctals S-g, 80-c). Mercuric chloride catalyzed hydrolysis of these (8s~) has led to the nitroacetyl derivatives (9a-c).
