A many-body theory for a multi-orbital tight-binding model is developed by taking account of local three-body correlations. The theory is applied to the antiferromagnetic NiO. The multiplet structures of hree-particle states are fully taken into account. It is shown that the self-energy correction l

NiO nanoparticles with well-dispersed property were prepared via a wet chemical method in ethylene glycol (EG) without soluble polymer as a protective agent. The mechanism of chemical process was proposed based on color change during the experiment. The dispersion function of EG was discussed.
