✦ Synopsis
A general continuum damage mechanics (CDM) model for ductile fracture is proposed in the framework of CDM which can be reduced to linear and/or nonlinear models and can unify many known models by introducing appropriate values for the damage coeflicients of materials. Comparisons of the modelling and experimental results are presented and good agreements are found.
