β¦ Synopsis
Ireland, 1963
Three boys.
Different backgrounds.
For Liam Tobin, his life is perfect. A loving family, in the greatest place in the world. Cork, Ireland.
Patrick, his friend, lives three doors up, but a million miles away.
Hugo Fitzhenry is lost, without Liam and Patrick, life would be unbearable.
Through the course of their adolescence and early adulthood their loyalty and friendship has been deep and unquestioned.
But how far can it go? Where is the point where a friendship cracks?
From the author:
My fourth book, Under Heaven's Shining Stars, published in 2016 and is set in my home city of Cork. This time its against the backdrop of 1950s and 60s Ireland and it really is a book about friendship, family and the Catholic church. I have a deep personal affinity with all of my characters but this book is especially close to my heart.
