Abstract
This work presents a new unconditionally stable BOR‐FDTD method based on weighted Laguerre polynomials. To validate the accuracy and efficiency of the proposed method, we apply it to analyze the scattering from a PEC cylinder with a slot. Comparing the results from the proposed method and those from the conventional BOR‐FDTD method, they show good agreement. And a substantial savings in computational time is achieved. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
