Querido Lector, Si estás buscando una historia sobre alegres jovencitos que pasan un buen rato en un internado, busca otro libro de la biblioteca. Violet, Klaus y Sunny Baudelaire son niños inteligentes y con recursos; por eso podrías pensar que les va de maravilla en el colegio, pero no es así. Para los Baudelaire, el colegio resulta ser otro desdichado episodio de sus desgraciadas vidas. A decir verdad, en los capítulos que componen esta espantosa historia, los tres hermanos se enfrentarán a cangrejos pellizcadores, severos castigos, hongos chorreantes, exámenes complicadísimos, espantosos conciertos de violín, mucha PHUPA y al sistema métrico. Es mi solemne obligación permanecer en vela la noche entera para investigar y escribir sobre la historia de estos tres desafortunados huérfanos, aunque puede que tú te sientas mejor echando un buen sueñecito.
