The rapid, quantitative reaction of borohydride ion with acetone in aqueous solution is utilized to determine borohydride via an indirect spectrophotometric method. The absorbance of such a solution at ~65m~ is compared to that of a reagent blank from which the borohydride is omitted. The amount of
