Abstract

Ultrasound has proved to be a valuable diagnostic tool in the evaluation of renal masses (1–3). A case is presented in which the kidney echogram demonstrated an additional renal cyst not suspected by intravenous pyelography. Both left renal cysts were punctured with a single insertion of an aspiration needle using A‐mode ultrasound monitoring and simultaneous infusion pyelography for localization of the cysts during the puncture procedure.
