โฆ Synopsis
We report the elastic modulus investigation of the quasi-one-dimensional magnetic system CsMnBrs at low temperatures and moderate magnetic fields with an ultrasonic velocity measurement technique. The magnetic phase diagram with H in the basal plane is obtained.

55 Mn-NMR measurements, which revealed previously the presence of spin pseudogap in YMn 4 Al 8 , have been extended to LuMn 4 Al 8 and ScMn 4 Al 8 . Temperature (T) dependences of the Knight shift, K, and the nuclear spin-lattice relaxation rate, 1=T 1 , are well explained by the same pseudogap mode
