β¦ Synopsis
Abstract
Twentyβone patients were investigated with ultrasound for the diagnosis of liver metastases. The most common specific appearnces of liver metastases encountered in this series were echogenic nodules and transsonic areas within an echogenic parenchyma. Nonspecific signs include hepatomegaly, distortion of the hepatic outline and alteration of the normal liver architecture. The results of this study suggest that the accuracy of this method of identifying liver metastases may be high.
