โฆ Synopsis
The CERN LHC collider will operate with lead ions at โ s of 5.5 TeV/n. The ATLAS detector, designed to study high-pT physics in pp mode of the LHC, has potential to study ultraperipheral collisions of heavy ions in a wide spectrum of observables. The physics program includes study of production of electron and muon pairs; spectroscopy of single mesons; measurement of meson pairs and search for new states.

Measurements of CP violation parameters in the B system with the ATLAS detector at LHC are reviewed. Measurements of sin 2/~ in the B ยฐ -+ J/ยขK ยฐ channel and of sin 2~ in the B ยฐ --+ 7r+Tr -channel are described in details. Other channels sensitive to the angles 7 and 57 axe also presented.
