Abstract

We demonstrate the generation of an ultraflat supercontinuum from an 80‐m long dispersion‐flattened microstructure fiber when coupling a 1.6‐ps pump pulse at a wavelength of 1550 nm. Over 1000 channels of 10‐GHz spacing are generated in a bandwidth of 80 nm, with a flatness of Β±1.5 dB in the 1550‐nm band. Β© 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
