We investigate the coherent control of spectra effects with chirped femtosecond laser pulse propagation in a twolevel-atom medium. It is found that the spectral feature depends crucially on the sign and magnitude of the initial chirp rate. For small chirp rate, blueshift or redshift of the spectrum
