## Abstract In this letter, a tunable Ti:sapphire laser pumped by a frequency‐doubled Q‐switched Nd:YAG laser at a repetition rate of 10 Hz is demonstrated. By using two dense flint glass prisms as dispersion element, a tuning range from 745 to 855 nm with a linewidth of 0.8 nm (FWHM) was achieved.
