Abstract
A planar elliptical slot antenna designed for ultra‐wideband applications is investigated. With elliptical radiation slots and finite‐ground coplanar waveguide feeding structure, the proposed antenna exhibits excellent broadband properties, stable radiation patterns, and compact size. Meanwhile, by introducing a V‐shaped slot on the transition region between the feeding line and the slots, a narrow band‐rejection operation can be realized. Simulated and measured results are presented and discussed. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
