โฆ Synopsis
More time must elapse and further study must be made before the place of this operation can be established firmly. Nevertheless, both the short-and long-term results shown in this study appear to suggest that fenestration can compare favourably with internal tube drainage as a method of dealing with the explored common duct. Further, the results suggest that the answers to the two questions posednamely (I) Does it reduce the incidence of trouble from residual stone ? and (2) Is it safe ?-are that in these respects it is at least as good as internal tube drainage.
